Here is an official notice of a party that will take place at my house. It will include Mexican themed food and Mexican themed beverages and it will celebrate my graduation and my ability to get older without looking it (and you better not say otherwise or I will kick your shins). So, it will be May 15 (and for all those Buffy club fans, I know it is a Sunday but I thought you could make a sacrifice for me just this once) around dinner time. So, I just thought you should know so you can get all prepared like these guys did.
Disclaimer: Mexican attire not required. No guns or ammo belt will be allowed. This party makes no guarantees as to how much fun you will have. You are the master of your own destiny.

This weekend was one of the best weekends of my life. All day Saturday, I got to spend the day with the chef at Four Square restaurant. It was wonderful. I learned how to make lots of great things like spring rolls and an asian vinegrette to go with it, crepes, potato cakes and other general cooking tips. I also got to be in charge (sort of with lots of help) of the kitchen for part of the night. I loved it very much and I was invited back. I can't wait. I will definately go again sometime this summer. And, after getting to taste lots of things in the things in the kitchen, I can't wait to eat dinner there. It will be a wonderful night too.
Sad news everyone. My kitty had cavities and had to have two teeth pulled. And now she is ingoring me and is in pain. It is the saddest day ever for Lucy. And now I am going to have to start brushing her teeth at night. That will be sad for me because she is not shy about biting me when she is not happy.
My thesis is done. I am just waiting for my second reader to read the damn thing and then comment on it and then defend. I hope that it can all get done by May 6th, but I think that is going to be cutting it close. That is only like 2 weeks away. I am really worried about it happening.
And, I know that there are some fun things to tell you, but I am in a boring mood, so I don't have anything fun to remember to tell you. Only that I had a great Saturday and if things don't work out in the science field, I can always look for a career as a chef.

Things from my recent past.
1. I was walking down the hall the other day and I ran into my boss. He looked all flustered and then he said to me, "I just went to the bathrom. I forgot and just went to the bathroom."
(Please, feel free to guess the context of that comment. And if you get it right, I will mention your name on my blog- and who said that good thing's arn't free?)
2. A bench at work was vandalized with the following words: "I hope God gives you a blessings today Have you asked for one lately"
3. A gal I work with was complaining that we had no more 96 well plates (Now, I know that you may not know what that is, but it is just a plastic plate with 96 wells-or compartments if you will- on it. And we use tons of these every week. So, it is no like she has never seen one.) So, I showed her where they were and she said, "So, that's a 96 well plate?

Well, last time I posted, well, things did not work out right. There was no way I could post links and I just got finished deleting the duplicated posts that were probably oh so annoying for you. Anyway, here are some links for you that I could not put in last time:

So, I hope that you enjoy. I entered the "Taste of Durham" contest and I won. Now I get to eat Durham. So, if you live in Durham, you can expect me at your dinner table soon. I want lobster.
Ok, really I won a day with a chef at Four Square (a super yummy restaurant (so I have heard (now, really, can you do this? Put a parenthesis within a parenthesis) ) that I want to try) and I am excited about that. They are even going go take pictured and I think that I will become famous. Well, at least I will have my picture on the internet. I hope that I get to wear a chef hat. How cool will that be? A picture of me with a chef hat on the internet. I hope you guys are ready for that possibility. Also, I got a gift certificate to eat there. HURRAY for yumminess and winning and yumminess and pictures on the internet. HURRAY.
PS- yes, I will let you touch me when you see me next. Maybe my spectacularness will rub off on you.
