Well, I have been pretty much absent from the internet for quite a while. I have found that at work, I actually have to work (gasp) and that in my free time either I am consumed by shopping for Christmas presents or traveling for Christmas or making Christmas presents (I made the greatest Christmas tree skirt and cute Red Hat thank you card for my aunt who is in a Red Hat club) or watching Christmas specials on tv or just plain ole tv. So, as you can see, my life has been rather busy.

So, I want to take a moment to tell you all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (seeing how I have not see hardly anyone lately and probably won't for a while to come.)

And now, on with something kind of interesting. On my ride to my parents house for Christmas, there were a couple of strange and interesting things on the side of the road. First of all, there was a bumper. A whole entire bumper on the side of the road. Now, I would think that if your car was damaged enough to loose a bumper, that you would probably have to be towed home and that the tow truck would take your bumper with you. But I guess not. It was truly strange. But not as strange as the other thing I saw on the road. There was a tire. And not just the rubber part, but the rim as well. I just imagine a stupid woman (or group of women, probably blonds) changing their tire and deciding that it was too heavy to put back into their car and just leaving it on the side of the road. I bet there husbands had a hay-day with that when they arrived back home. Some people just don't understand the rules of life.

In other news, I am going to the Panther's game on Sunday. My dad called around and got us tickets to go to the game. I am REALLY excited. I have to go out and buy me some clothes to wear to the game. My mom had something she offered me to wear, but it is a championship shirt from last year, and well, I think that I need something that is more current. Really, I just can't believe that I have not bought anything for them yet. I mean, I love them, but since I only love them from my couch then I guess that never has mattered before, but now it does. So, shopping I must go.

And, on the next two weekends, I am going to be in a clinical trial. Making money for giving blood and taking medicine. I am quite excited about that. I am going to buy an IPOD with part of the income I will receive.

So, that is my life. In a nutshell.

The End.

First of all, I just want to clarify something from the last post. I mean, there is nothing wrong with Christians. In fact, I am a Christian, I am just not the in your face, showing all the world at every possible moment my special blessedness kind. I don't like going around and telling people that I am going to bless them, because chances are, they are doing just fine.

Now that we have that covered, I want to tell you about the string of annoying and strange things that have been happening to me lately.

Friday: went to see the Christy Smith Band and while at the show, I met Tony. Boy, that Tony is a dancing fool. But since when has push-ups been considered dancing?

Saturday: My day of relaxation (or so I thought). Really, it was an ok day that ended in the stylist (if you can call someone who does such a suck ass job a stylist) watching my glasses (you know, the things that allow me to see) fall on the floor and then not doing anything about it so that when my masseur came over to bring me some water, he stepped on them. I had to get the lenses replaced.

Sunday: I went to church. The first time in about a year (in graduate school I worked pretty much 7 days a week and then just fell out of the habit but then again, what business of yours is it anyway?). It pretty much sucked. First of all, I just have this wired quirk. I hate interpretive dancing. It makes me laugh at how silly it is. So, when there was interpretive dancing at church, it made it really hard to focus because I wanted to make fun of these people, but that is SO not a thing that I want to do in church (make fun of people). So, that was one strike against them. Secondly, I found out that they are having a LOT of financial problems and are having to cut back on staff. Now, I know this is mean, but I don't want to join at a dying church. Third, there was NO ONE my age in the congregation. And I want to go to church for the learning but also for the fellowship. Fourth, the sermon sucked ass. It was a bunch of rather unconnected stories that the pastor tried to make fit together by comparing the Christian virtues he was talking about to the "people on the street" (that was code for the ungodly citizens of this world). Fifth, there were no Christmas song sung. I mean, it is Advent. WTF?

Monday: I went to the Hospital Christmas party. While there, I got suckered into performing the chicken dance. I was a damn good dancer if I do say so myself. As I was leaving the party to go back to work, some guy was following me and when I turned off, he yelled, see you later Sallie. I mean, I guess he was reading my name off my badge, but I always keep it at my waist, so there is clothes over most of it. He must have been looking hard for my name. Maybe he liked the ass shaking I was doing on the Chicken Dance? Who knows. But I was thoroughly creeped out.

So, there are the tales of my days. Sorry the post is so long, but well, I don't post that much anyway so shut your yap. And if I offended anyone, please feel free to comment and I will feel free to ignore. (see how beautiful that system is?)

The End

PS- Watch out everyone, the Clay Aiken Christmas is on tonight (I think) and I am sure that it promises to be Rockin'. So watch the looser outshine the winner once again. Maybe he will be kind enough to let Rubin guest star on his show.

Tomorrow will be a day filled with excitement. I am going to start with breakfast out somewhere yummy and then I am going to get a massage and a haircut. Then I will get a Christmas tree (which I am so very excited about) and I will decorate it. I have the large colored lights and silver garland. It is really going to be a grand tree. Then I will go out to dinner and to the Magnetic Fields concert. I am hoping for a gloriously fun and relaxing day. So, to make up for it, I have to work my ass off when I get home tonight cleaning up and washing dishes and all the crap that comes with having an apartment and responsibility.

So, that is my life. On a different note, I was watching wife swap the other day and an uber Christian was swapped with someone else. And it was kind of annoying and she was like, "I just hope I can bless them. I just want to send a blessing to them." And, well, it reminded me of my Campbell days when I used to live around people like this all the time. I am just glad I am not one of them.

The end.
