Today, I started learning how to crochet correctly (I just pulled something out my ass last time I did it). My goal is to make a baby blanket for Trish's new baby before it is born in a month. I am wondering if I am going to make it.

Well, the first step is to use yarn rather than something you pull out of your ass. While pulling something out of your ass is more convenient, it is generally considered poor crochetting material, and most people prefer not to wrap their baby in anything ass-derived. From there, it's pretty easy -- loop, hook, loop, hook, ad infinitum.
